From Selfie to Self-Expression at Saatchi Opens on 31st March – 30th May 2017
Who doesn’t like a good selfie?
If like me, it takes you a many photos to get the ‘perfect’ selfie image, then you may appreciate this exhibition opening at the Saatchi Gallery this Friday 31st March.
From Selfie to Self-Expression, explores the history of the ‘selfie’ (yes, the humble selfie did exist before smartphones, I know it’s hard to believe 🙂 )
It promises to be an exciting mix of digital, interactive and user-genarerated content by artists such as Christopher Baker, Juno Calypso, Tracey Emin, Van Gogh and Gavin Turk.
The exhibition also ran a competition collaborating with Huawei, allowing members of public to showcase their own photographs #SaatchiSelfie.
Dates: The exhibition runs 31st March until 30th May 2017.
Venue: Saatchi Gallery, King’s Road, London, SW3 4SQ, United Kingdom
I have luckily been invited to attend a preview, so will update you on my thoughts when I have attended this exciting exhibition.
