The One by award winning playwright, Vicky Jones returns to the Soho Theatre in the West End.
I’ve heard that this play is really funny, The One is about a couple, Jo and Harry who are trapped in a vicious circle of lust and violence.
The play is set over one long dark night,Β Jo and Harry wait to hear from her sister giving birth across town while grappling with each other and looking for new ways of expressing the love, lust, comfort and the terrible entrapment of their relationship. Their tangled dance is occasionally inflamed by the late-night visitations of Harryβs friend Kerry, who decides this is the night to throw all her love into the fire.
The One bravely delves into the fragile dynamic of being in a couple, exploring the extraordinary fragility of relationships and exposing the perverse depths we can go when pushed to the limit.
