Yes, it’s that time of year again, where are beloved celebrities leave the lap of luxury and ‘rough it’ in the Australian jungle, such brave souls, as I know that I could NOT do it, I don’t know about you, but I’m not an ‘outdoor’ kinda person and I cannot sleep with the bedroom door open, let alone in the ‘great outdoors’ under a starry sky – So, I have ultimate respect to those who will be braving it this year.
The main show will be hosted by the legendary presenting duo, Ant and Dec.
Here is the list of participants;
STANLEY JOHNSON
Stanley Johnson is the father of the popular politician, Boris Johnson and one of my favourite authors, Rachel Johnson. I absolutely love Boris Johnson, although I may not agree with all his policies and opinions, (Brexit..cough, cough) but I would be lying if I didn’t tell you that I find him totally hilarious, I wonder what his Dad is like…hopefully fun like him 😉
Biggest fear: No real fears, but will be avoiding Black Widow Spiders
Will Miss: My family. Fortunately, I’ve got a big family and I will be back in time for Christmas
Role in Camp: I’m assuming I am going to be one of the younger competitors and so I will try to help people my age or more… And I hope I won’t be too exhausted to make the odd joke!
Biggest misconception you want to dispel in the Jungle: I don’t have any conceptions about
myself as I don’t think I am famous at all and that’s rather a relief!
Jennie McAlpine: I don’t know much about Jennie, as I don’t watch Coronation Street, but as thousands of ITV viewers do watch it, I assume she has hoards of fans and will be a popular addition to the team.
Biggest fear: Leaving her son, no real jungle fears.
Will Miss: Son, Kettle, Telly and Sofa.
Role in Camp: Camp Cook
Biggest misconception you want to dispel in the Jungle: None but it will be different for viewers seeing me as Jennie and not Fiz.
Jamie Lomas: OMG! My jaw did drop open when I read that Jamie Lomas aka Warren Fox from Hollyoaks was entering the jungle. I am one of the biggest Hollyoaks fans out there and have seen ‘Warren’ come and go over the years in Hollyoaks, but Jamie says, he has left the soap, so before I start crying, at least myself and the rest of the Hollyoaks fanbase will get to see him in the Jungle. It will be interesting to get to know Jamie. Very happy about this addition 🙂
Biggest fear: Bugs, spiders and cockroaches crawling all over my head.
Will Miss: My children
Role in Camp: The joker who will cheer everyone up when they are feeling down.
Biggest misconception you want to dispel in the Jungle: Everyone just knows me as this fictional character. I’ve always been a private person up until now.
Vanessa White: I am so happy to hear Vanessa was entering the house, apart from her career in the pop girl group The Saturdays, I don’t really know much about her. She seems like a lovely person, so lets see how she gets on, i’m routing for her!
Biggest fear: Bugs!
Will Miss: My phone and sugar.
Role in Camp: I’d like to bring a bit of laughter to the jungle.
Biggest misconception you want to dispel in the Jungle: I’ve never really put myself out there so this is the first time people will get to see what I am really like which is a scary thought…
Georgia Toffolo: I don’t watch ‘Made in Chelsea’ but each cast member I have come across on other shows, have been so entertaining, so i’m sure Georgia will be too.
Biggest fear: Rats and mice. I am a real jumper
Will Miss: My family and food. I get snappy if I don’t eat.
Role in Camp: I am quite athletic, so I don’t mind fetching the wood. I am not sure if I want to
clean the toilet though.
Biggest misconception you want to dispel in the Jungle: I think people reckon I am prim and
proper
Amir Khan: So happy to see Amir on this show, for 2 reasons, firstly, honestly, I used to have the biggest crush on him, many years ago, so I am happy to see him on the screen in a non-boxing context and secondly, I think he will do very well. It will be nice to get to know him as a person too.
Biggest fear: Spiders, snakes and heights.
Will Miss: My family and my daughter.
Role in Camp: The leader. I will spur people on.
Biggest misconception you want to dispel in the Jungle: People only ever see me in the boxing ring. It will be nice to show people what I am like away from it.
Shappi Khorsandi: I really love this woman, so am extremely pleased she is campmate, as a comedian she’s obviously funny, but I’d love to see another side of her. Shappi comes across as an intelligent lady and I will definitely be cheering her on 🙂
Biggest fear: Heights and I am dreading not being able to drink a cup of tea.
Will Miss: My family, cats, tea and music.
Role in Camp: Shoulder to cry on, the Mum and someone to inject fun.
Biggest misconception you want to dispel in the Jungle: I worry people think I am too serious but I’m really not.
Rebekah Vardy: I don’t know anything apart from that she’s a ‘WAG’ (Footballer’s Wife). Looking at her she is well groomed, I hope she’s not as high-maintenance as a typical ‘WAG’ as she will suffer in the jungle (I know that I would miss all my beauty products etc..). I won’t pre-judge, i’ll keep an open mind and get to know her throughout the series, I hope she’s fun 🙂
Biggest fear: I am not a great fan of spiders but I don’t think I’ve got any sort of fears. That said, I
don’t like confined spaces.
Will Miss: My family and my phone
Role in Camp: I love people. I will be a mixture of everything. I won’t be starting an argument
but if I’ve got an opinion on something I will express it.
Biggest misconception you want to dispel in the Jungle: I think everyone thinks of me as a Wag who never gets her hands dirty. It will be nice to show a different side.
Dennis Wise: A retired professional footballer, Dennis Wise is someone I have heard of, but know nothing about. I look forward to getting to know him in this series.
Biggest fear: I am a bit claustrophobic and so I am dreading any trial involving a coffin.
Will Miss: My family and freedom.
Role in Camp: I am not afraid of hard work. I will be throwing my weight behind everything.
Biggest misconception you want to dispel in the Jungle: Everyone thinks of me as a fiery
character and so I am sure they will wonder how I will cope.
Jack Maynard: He is not a vlogger that I have followed or even heard of, so he’s totally new to me. Congratulations to him for being the first ‘Influencer’ to make it onto the show. He’s young, healthy and may do very well. I will be watching him with interest.
Biggest fear: I think I am scared of everything. When I go in, I will find out what I am properly scared of.
Will Miss: The Internet!
Role in Camp: To lighten up the mood.
Well, that’s the full camp mate line up revealed, let me know what you think and who is your favourite to win?
Don’t forget to set your TV Box reminder for 9pm this Sunday, so you don’t miss the usual dramatic entrances into the jungle.
