London Korean Film Festival 2018 Opens – 1st – 25th November 2018
1st November marks the opening of the much anticipated London Korean Film Festival 2018.
This festival showcases Korean film in London until 14th November before embarking on a UK tour until 25th November.
I first got into Korean film, 2 years ago after watching and reviewing my favourite zombie film Train to Busan
Since then, I have avidly watched many different types of Korean film on Netflix UK. I found out last year, 2017, that there was a film festival in London focusing on Korean film, but it had just finished so I had missed it, but this year I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of the 2018 festival where we were treated to a Korean film – A Tiger in Winter.
This film was so good, about a struggling writer who is dealing with relationship & work problems whilst there is a tiger loose in the city.
There are a variety of films being shown at this year’s festival across a diverse set of strands; Cinema Now, Women’s Voices, Indie Firepower, Contemporary Classics, Artists Video, Animation and Shorts.
