Review: Me, You, Madness Film – Out on Digital Download from – Monday 19th April 2021

Me, You Madness Film Poster

My initial interest in this film was the fact that it starred Gossip Girl hearthrob, Ed Westwick (aka Chuck Bass – for those not in the know) in this film he plays Tyler, a petty thief.

Anyhow, I watched the trailer and my goodness – this film is different, definitely not your typical Rom-Com – it’s absolutely crazy!

Have a look at the trailer and see for yourself…

The Synopsis

Catherine Black (Louise Linton) is a wealthy, successful business woman who has a serial killer addiction.

After inviting Tyler (Ed Westwick) down to rent a room in her Malibu dreamhouse, knowing he’s really a petty thief and will try to steal from her – but her plans for killing and his plans for stealing don’t go quite as planned.

My Thoughts

This film is a laugh-out-loud comedy with a slice of romance threaded through all the violent and sexy antics.

Louise Linton is amazing as the materialistic, narcissist serial killer, Catherine Black, she talks to the camera as she tells the story, and Ed Westwick is fantastic as Tyler, their chemistry and energy on screen is well matched and adds to a believable romance despite the polar opposites of their characters.

There are lots of colourful dancing scenes as well as hilarious fight scenes too – i admit, that I thought it was going to be a silly type of shallow comedy, but as the film progresses you get to see some depth to the characters and their backgrounds that made them the way they are today.

The ending was absolutely surprising and much better than I thought it would be.

Definitely a must see for those who want a fun film with a romantic twist.

Me You Madness will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Sky Store, Sony, TalkTalk in the UK and Ireland on 19th April.

Enjoy & Thanks for reading!
